Rob is the founder of Kilriver;he is an entrepreneurial MBA who has specialised for the last 20 years in Corporate Finance and Corporate Development for mid market SMEs, both with professional firms (SG Warburg and Mazars) and within his own practice. He currently specialises in advising Healthcare and TMT companies, but has in his career transacted across numerous sectors over 45 M&A deals with aggregate value in xs of €250M, together with many fund raisings in the €2M to €50M range. Earlier in his career he was CEO of a £12M revenue, 100 staff UK telecom company that he successfully sold to a US buyer.

He is a Director of Plan International and G4 Student Property Lets.In addition he lectures and counsels on the specialist SME growth course, the Cranfield Business Growth Program (“BGP”).

He is an Economics and Accounting graduate and has an MBA from the Cranfield School of Management.Rob is also an approved person for the purposes of the Financial Services & Markets Act (FSMA 2000).

Downtime

Rob is married with 2 daughters and a son. He loves the sea and spends as much time as possible either on it or in it;he is also a keen but slow long distance cyclist.

Charles is a Director of Kilriver Capital. Over the last 25 years he has completed over 80 investments in unlisted companies in 18 European jurisdictions for organizations such as GE Capital and MML Capital Partners. Working for a multi-lateral sovereign wealth fund, he completed investments in leading companies in Ghana, Bangladesh and Thailand. He has also created distribution joint ventures in Japan and South Africa for Diageo and Littlewoods. He has a particular interest in developing businesses through M & A, be they buy and build, edge out or tuck in initiatives.

Charles has an MBA from Wharton, MA from Cambridge University and is a Series 7 qualified practitioner (US FSA equivalent).

Downtime

Charles is married with three daughters. He loves traveling and has taken his family to Vietnam (twice), Sri Lanka and Myanmar.

Adam joined Kilriver in early 2010 having been previously with CFM Capital (Mazars Ireland Corporate Finance) where he was responsible for Food & Beverage, Cleantech and Information Communication Technology (ICT) sectors. Adam has 20 years commercial experience in technology and venture capital funds including 5 years with Cross Atlantic Capital Partners, a fund manager with many investments in Europe and the US. Prior to this Adam was with Olympic Group a small Private Equity house based in London. He has extensive commercial knowledge of EU, US and Asia markets and has successfully completed numerous deals including acquisitions, disposals and fundraisings on a cross sector basis.

Adam has a BsC Mgmt and MA from Trinity College Dublin.

Downtime

Adam is married to Ciara and has 2 children. He is a very keen competitive sailor with a particular interest in one-design keelboats and offshore racing.

Fiona is Kilriver Capital’s high performance adviser, providing counseling to individuals who wish to learn how to remain at the top of their discipline over a sustained period of time. Fiona was one of the Royal Ballet’s youngest Principal dancers at 17 and went on to have a very successful international career in ballet, remaining a Principal dancer with the Royal Ballet for 18 years dancing all the Principal roles of the major 3 Act ballets. On retirement from the Royal, she created roles with Mathew Bourne in various of his now internationally famous productions and she was Head of the Royal Ballet Junior School in Richmond Park. She has an Honoury Doctorate from Lancaster University and is an accomplished painter.

James Lillis is a highly experienced corporate finance professional with 30 years of experience in initiating, negotiating and completing transactions. For the past 10 years James was Director of CFM Capital, the Dublin based corporate finance house, focused solely on providing businesses with specialist advice on acquisitions, disposals and management buy outs with transaction values between € 5m and € 75m. James acted for both publicly quoted and private companies across a range of sectors.
Prior to joining CFM, he was Development Director of James Crean plc where he worked for 22 years. Crean was a publicly quoted company with diversified operations in Ireland and in the USA, UK and Netherlands. Crean grew to being one of the top 10 companies in Ireland through a very successful acquisition programme, prior to being taken private in 1999.

He is a graduate of UCD, Cranfield School of Management and Irish Management Institute.
